What is Elegance Ballroom?
Elegance Ballroom is a high-quality dance facility located in
Potomac, Maryland. It is intended to promote Dancesport
activities in the greater Washington, DC area.
It is approximately 3,000 square feet in size, rectangular-
shaped, with no structural posts that may interrupt dance
movements. The hardwood floor is floating in construction
and wax-free, and is made of sports-grade, solid compressed
beechwood imported from Europe.
Who are the intended users?
Because of its intended purpose, we invite only guests
involved in Dancesport. Dancesport is a formalized style of
ballroom dance frequently seen in competitions in the United
States and throughout the world.
Rules for Using the Ballroom:
- No food or drink in ballroom
- No smoking in and around ballroom
- Dance shoes only in ballroom; no black (or any color)
soles that would leave marks
- Thoroughly brush shoes before entering; shoes
previously used on waxed floors not permitted
- Users must sign in for each session before use
